Masters in Commerce (MCom)


Overview

Master of Commerce (M.Com) is a postgraduate Degree programme, concentrating on commerce, management and economics related subjects. The M.Com covers core competencies in accounting, finance, information system and e-commerce. This innovative program is designed for people in middle to senior management who are looking for further knowledge in their chosen careers.

Career Options

Masters in Commerce programme encourages the students to develop the advanced skills and knowledge required for a high-level position in industry, commerce and in government sector as well. Commerce is one of the three fundamental academic streams, the other two being humanities and science. After completing course in the field of commerce, a student can join any private or government organization as a specialist in any of the streams of commerce, such as economics, accountancy or work as management executive, accounts executive, junior accountant or pursue a career in auditing or banking.

Admission Requirements
Requirements for Master in Commerce (M.Com):
Candidate should have 14 years of education.
Candidates should have graduate degree from recognized college or university.
A background in a social science will be a plus point but not essential feature.
Candidates who are more than 26 years old shall not be entitled for admissions unless relaxation is granted by the Vice Chancellor for special reasons on the recommendations of the Chairman.
Foreign students must route their applications through the Ministry of Education, Government of Pakistan.
Admission will be made on merit, subject to the regional quota.
