Masters in Philosophy


Overview

The graduate program in philosophy offers students the opportunity to prepare for Ph.D. study at another institution, or to study philosophy beyond the baccalaureate level for its own sake. The program is reasonably broad, encompassing both the analytic and continental traditions, both rigorous work in the history of philosophy and work centered on contemporary issues.

Career Options

A student having masters in Philosophy can also take up a job in a company, and the most common departments for these graduates are the Human Resources Department.Nowadays, many companies are also interested in Values & Ethics training so a student of MASTERS. Philosophy can also become a corporate trainer conducting workshops and training programmes in these areas.

Admission Requirements
Requirements for Masters in Philosophy:
Candidate should have 14 years of education.
Candidates should have graduate degree from recognized college or university. A background in a social science will be a plus point but not essential feature.
Candidates who are more than 26 years old shall not be entitled for admissions unless relaxation is granted by the Vice Chancellor for special reasons on the recommendations of the Chairman.
Foreign students must route their applications through the Ministry of Education, Government of Pakistan. Admission will be made on merit, subject to the regional quota.
